I am beyond excited to even be typing this, let alone to actually have you guys join me! I feel like my purpose in life is to show people like you how incredible you are, that you deserve to push past your comfort zone and realise your potential which is why i am so happy that Exodus wanted to work with me on creating this trip and beyond excited to share with you my first lackhealthy Challenge: Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
Together we will be tackling the Rongai Route, it approaches Kilimanjaro from the North and is far less crowded than the more popular trails but just as beautiful. We’ll be trekking through farmland, forest and alpine morlands as we approach the beautiful summit cone and will be reaching the top just as dawn hits over the East African Plains.. it’s going to be breathtaking! I’ve also popped in the additional option of heading to Zanzibar for some yoga on the white sandy beaches of Fumba Beach Lodge, this is an optional part of the trip but something tells me our feet and legs might need it, let alone deserve it!

Day to Day Itinerary: 24th Feb – 4th March.
Day 1: 24th Feb Overnight flight from London Heathrow with Kenya Airways
Day 2: 25th Feb Transfer to accommodation & challenge brief
Day 3: 26th Feb First day trekking (3-4 hrs trekking)
Day 4: 27th Feb Trek to ’Second Cave’ (6-7 hrs trekking)
Day 5: 28th Feb Cli of Mawenzi & acclimatisation on day (3-4 hrs trekking)
Day 6: 1st Mar Trek to Kibo Camp (5-6 hours trekking)
Day 7: 2nd Mar Summit Mt Kilimanjaro (11-12 hrs trekking)
Day 8: 3rd Mar Descend back down to Marangu (5-6 hrs trekking)
Day 9: 4th Mar Early flight departure for afternoon arrival.

How to Book?
Once you’ve read the proposed itinerary and are keen to join me then please give my dedicated contact at Exodus Travels a call. Her name is Thidara and her details are below, she has completed this exact climb before and is more than happy to discuss the trip with you in detail.
Unfortunately there are only 15 places on the trip and availability of spaces is guaranteed upon confirmation of reservation. Once you are happy with the itinerary you just need a deposit of 10% of the total trip cost to confirm your place and let Thidara know of any medical conditions or dietary requirements. Full payment for the trip is due 60 days before departure which should give us all time to save up!
Before you Book:
No surcharges will be incurred after you book. Exodus are ABTA bonded, meaning your money is safe and protected. Your deposit is fully transferable: You can cancel your booking up to 8 weeks before departure and not lose your deposit – we will put your deposit towards any new booking as long as you travel within 3 years of the original departure date. If there are any non- transferable costs for your trip, you will be made aware of this at the point of booking. We will not charge you credit card fees*
This is going to be the trip of a lifetime, no only because of the views around us but the bond we will all establish between us. I will of course be sharing a training plan with each of you and arrange a dinner before the trip so that we can all get to know each other and iron out any last minute nerves, i am so excited to tackle this challenge with you!
